INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CLIMATE ACTION
OCTOBER 24, 2009
On Saturday October 24th join thousands around the world, at over 1500 actions in over 125 countries, in calling for climate justice at the Copenhagen climate talks for the International Day of Climate Action. After many great actions happening around the Bay early during the day, a variety of Bay Area organizations are throwing a massive convergence event at 3pm calling on our leaders to join the global community of countries that are committing to strong action for climate justice.
*NOTE: SURFRIDER FOUNDATION ACTION HAS BEEN CANCELLED – they will be joining us at the mass convergence at 3pm! (See details below)

11am Public education at local BART stations around the Bay! Sign up for a local station HERE!
2pm Get your bike ready for underwater pedaling! Pull out your floaties, snorkel masks, and rubber flippers! Be one of 350 bicyclists to ride along SF’s future post climate-changed shoreline as part of this Global Day of Climate Action.
2pm Be a part of our Walk for Farm Animals and help raise vital funds for and awareness about Farm Sanctuary’s important rescue, education and advocacy work. Registration at 12pm at Ferry Park Plaza. http://sfwalkforfarmanimals.blogspot.com/ for more info!
3pm At 1 Market Street, near the foot of Market St., San Francisco – across from Justin Herman Plaza. Hear a spoken word read-out for climate justice, as well as the building of a huge human billboard!
